Photo Shoot

On Feb. 16th we took Erik to JC Penny and got his 2 month pictures taken. I thought I had timed his feeding/sleeping schedule just right so we would capture his big grins, but it didn't work out that way. After just a few pictures he started to yawn and soon after started getting fussy, telling us he was tired. We got some good photo's though and afterwards while we walked around the mall he got his nap time in.

Valentine's Day

With all the cute pictures of our little boy we've posted lately we wondered if y'all have forgotten what we look like. Paul took me to our stake's Valentine's Dance. It was a really fun date, thanks to some great sisters who watched their newphew for us. We had dinner and dessert, played some great Valentine games and best of all DANCED! Paul's such a great dancer, I just loved it!

I won plastic noise-maker lips, they were so fun and silly I just couldn't pass them up!

I stuck Erik's Valentine to his hat, it said "I've been kissed on Valentine's Day"

2 Months Old!

Erik is now 2 months old, officially on Feb 6. We celebrated all week. We took 2 month pictures at home, voted on Super Tuesday and went to the Doctor for shots! Our little boy did so well with his shots, only cried for a little bit and didn't get a fever. The Dr. reported that Erik is now 24 1/2in tall, 14.5lbs and that puts him in to the 93-96th%, a big boy! And strong too! In the Dr.'s office he almost rolled over and at home he actually did, several times!! He can hold his head up really well during tummy time and loves to stand with his strong legs. We're so proud of him and love showing off his talents to friends and family.

Erik's Triks

Before he even reached the 2 month mark Erik could impress us with his budding talents. He can give us adorable smiles, stand up with only a little bit of our help and lift his head and chest during 'tummy time'! Yes he's amazing we know, a baby genious is what we're calling him. We love him so much and enjoy every minute with him!

Erik's Toys

Lately we've been putting Erik in his bouncer and hooking a mobile to it so that Erik can hit and play with it. Well Erik loved that. He got really good at hitting the rattle with his right hand, which makes me think he is right handed. But you can tell that he is purposely trying to hit it instead of it just being random movements, because he looks straight at the toy that rattles and hits it. He also spends an hour or more in his bouncer before he gets tired of playing, when normally he doesn't like spending time by himself if he is awake. This is nice for mom and dad. Today we put Erik under his Elmo gym that Grandma Feeman and Aunt Laurie picked out for him for Christmas and he smiled really big and kicked his feet. He was really content with laying under the gym for about an hour as mom and dad took pictures and watched him play. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Feeman for the toy and of course Laurie, what could we have ever done without you.
