Ode to Dad on Father's Day

Just wanted to take some time to show my appreciation to my husband for his mad-skills at being a totally awesome dad! I've loved his enthusiasm for being a dad, even before we had Erik, Pawly was so excited and anxious to become a dad.
Here's a (small) list of the great Dad qualities my husband has:
He's a great snuggler!
(This was such a precious moment. Erik-about 1yr here-had stopped falling asleep in our arms, so this was a rare occasion for Paul.)

He likes to have fun!
He and Erik at "the Dairy Day's" parade.

He loves sweets!
Sugar cookie time.

He's a good teacher! (so patient)
I think Erik's getting the hang of it, at least he figured out how to eat most of the dough. :)

He has a heart full of love!
Erik looks like he's saying, "oohh dad, you're so great!" yeah, I think that is what he said.

We love you Daddy! Happy Father's day!!!

Family picture this morning after breakfast in bed.

Daddy with all his gifts this morning. He got a new tie from Erik-really, he helped pick it out-and the movie Princess Bride from me. Oh and I also made the blueberry muffins, yummy!
I tried to play a joke on Pawly this morning. I had just put the muffins in the oven and I gave Erik a pop-tart and a banana, we headed into wake Daddy up and give him his gifts and trick breakfast. While he was opening gifts, Erik and I ate the banana and Paul was left with the pop-tart. Before he could dig in I told him that I had made a better breakfast-although he kinda wanted the pop-tart. Too bad Pawly you got home cooking this morning.
I think he had a great Father's Day-he's a great Father!

I'm cute and I know it

Sorry we haven't blogged for a while. I have been going to school 20 hours a week plus working fourty hours a week. Needless to say we haven't had much time to blog. Plus we haven't taken many pictures lately.
I got to playing with pictures of Erik and this was what I came up with. For this picture we were at a jazz concert and Erik did not want to be in our laps.

Here's Erik and his daddy wearing their Utah State shirts. I actually bought this shirt and gave it to Sandy soon after we found out she was pregnant with Erik. It was the smallest T-shirt they had and was still a 3T. Erik already fits into it.

I just love this face. I can't tell what he's thinking, but it could be anywhere from, "I just left something wonderful for you in my diaper" to "You have no idea what I'm going to be like when I'm older" or even "I'm cute and I know it."
