Look at Me!

Funny face on the couch!
Can you see all those teeth through all the spaghetti mess?

Where did Erik go?
I looked around the house, I could hear him but wasn't sure where he was.

Well I didn't know it was possible but he climbed into his closet and was able to close the door!
He was playing with his shoes. He loves his church shoes, he always wants to put them on, maybe because he associates them with Nursery?

Erik loves playing Hide and Seek with his Daddy. Dad will run to a hiding spot and Erik will go find him. I always know when he's found daddy when I hear the laughter from them BOTH. It's so cute to watch the Father-Son play time.

Happy Birthday Pawly

He's one year older an wiser too! Here was his beautiful cake
packed with as much sugar as possible-
Funfetti cake+reg frosting+sprinkles in the middle layer+Rainbow chip frosting on top=
one sugar loaded B-Day cake!
Pawly loved it, but I couldn't finish my piece that night.

Any guess at his age now?

The handsome Birthday boy sporting his new clothes. Erik looks pretty nervous bout all those candles. :)

They BOTH blew them all out, hope Pawly's wish came true.
We had fun that Saturday. We went to a Spanish festival and saw some great dancers and a Mariachi band. Then we went to Red Robin for dinner, yummy! Pawly tried to play a trick to have the waitress sing ME Happy Birthday, but turns out she for got...turns out we forgot to tip.

(jk-Pawly would never do that.)

After dinner we had our neighbors over for cake. Then we crashed after our sugar high.

It was perfect :)

Also that week I decided to make fruit pizza for the first time ever. It turned out really yummy and I don't wanna admit it but we ate most of it ourselves.

I tried something different for the white frosting part used vanilla yogurt and whip cream instead of cream cheese and whip cream. I loved it-obviously. :)

Now on to Erik, the reason you read this blog :)

The similarity between these two pictures is hilarious to me! I think they were taken on different days but to me it looks like a before yogurt and after yogurt shot.

I just love the faces this kid pulls for us.

This is Erik's new favorite thing BUBBLES!!!

He loves to say the word 'bubble', blow bubbles...

Play in a sink full of bubbles... or a bubble bath, pretty much all are equally thrilling to him!

If he could 'wash' dishes in the sink with me all day I think he would! It's fun to have him in the kitchen but the moping afterwards isn't always my favorite.

This was also a garage sale find, a booster seat!! Erik loves it and I love having the space that the highchair took from me back. Every one is happy!

(PS coming soon: video's of Erik talking and showing us his letter knowledge)

Summer Happenings

Well first off I guess we should tell ya'll that we're millionaries!!!! Paul FINALLY won the million on his electronic Deal or No Deal game. We screamed and jumped all around-Erik thought we were crazy. But after owning this game over 6months and NEVER getting the million we were beginning to think it was rigged. Of course the lucky case was #13.
With all this extra dough, I've hit a few garage sales and got Erik some new toys. I found a Leap Frog A,B,C game that he loves!!! And he's so good at it too! He can already point out letters when we ask him too! One part of the toy is to press a letter and hear music, this is his favorite, so we'll ask him, "Erik, where's 'Pop Goes the Wheezel?' the letter P?" and he'll push the P, he's amazing!
Speaking of letters I also got him some bath-time letters and numbers. They're foam that stick to the wall. He loves them!!

I've also been getting crafty this summer. My mom's RS made these "crayon rolls" and I joined in the fun, since I have a new sewing machine I need to get more aquainted with. I really like how it turned out even though at first I really didn't think I'd use it-cuz I mean crayons already come in a box, why make something else to store them in right?-But we use it ALL the time! Especially at church, it's great!
What a funny face. :)

Here's the link to the crayon roll instructions,
if anyone's interested. It also made a great gift for my 8yr old niece.
Our little poser :)
