Something New

It's about time we got new family pictures, the last ones we took were just before Erik turned 1.
Our sis-in-law Carrie has done it again, captured our little family so beautifully.
Erik is now 2. Look how sweet he is :)

Attacked by kisses!

Where did Erik's eyes go? That was the joke he and Carrie played while we took pictures. She'd ask that and instead of Erik showing his wide open eyes off, he'd squint or close them-such a turkey.

His GQ pose. So handsome

Thanks Carrie again for taking these awesome pictures, you rock!

Happy Cinco de Mayo

...yesterday.
Well yesterday was our 4th anniversary! We've had a blast together for 4 whole years, go us! Last night we celebrated by going to a mexican resturant, make that 2 different mexican resturants, just to realize that everyone and their mother goes to these resturants on Cinco de Mayo, and the wait time was at least an hour. So we scratched that idea and went to Goodwood BBQ. Don't worry we had nacho's for an appetizer so all was not lost as far as having mexican food.
This was a yummy "wedding" cake I made for us to share. We ate it after we came home from seeing the musical Hello Dolly!
It was our first time seeing this musical and we liked it. Liked the songs and laughed at the jokes, it was great! The best part....it was FREE! Thank you music week!

The following are our attempts to catch a cute picture of ourselves on our Anniversary:
Apparently we forgot about the timer feature. :)
Nice pucker Pawly

Gotta love the smooch! Well if you don't, then check out my great hair ;)

And of course we have to put a picture of Erik on here, why else do you read our blog but to see him right?
On Tues we did pudding painting and Erik really enjoyed it, despite his serious face!

Story Time

I think Erik has a love for reading. We go to the Library weekly-as best we can-and lately he's gotten better at wanting to READ at the Library instead of just play with the computer and toys.
He loves Curious George, or "monkey george" as Erik calls it and we've checked out several of those books lately.
The other night Erik wanted to read a book on the stool in the bathroom, very different from his usual places, the couch or his bed.
So we curled up on the same small stool with the echo of the linoleum, bathtub and sink nearby as we followed George through his curious adventures.

What will our 2yr old think of next?
