July Happenings

So I'm noticing a lot of things don't get done now that I have 2 kids, including blogging.

Time for an update.

This was the 4th of July at my parent's ward breakfast:

A family picture of the 4 of us. I realized we haven't taken new family pictures yet :(

We've gone to this breakfast for the past 3 years and lately they've had the firemen join in. They bring their truck, let the kids look and touch, then spray the fire hose. Erik loves the fire truck and I love this 'posed' picture of him :)

They also have a bike parade. This is the 1st year Erik's had a bike so we brought it along so he could join the fun! the best part were the decorations!(which are still on his trike)

We spent the day at a splash park with Lance and Kim's family and enjoyed a BBQ with them and their traditional "water baseball"

Daddy introduced Jillian to the water. She didn't mind, it was very hot that day.

Jack and Jill

Lance and Kim's boy Jack joined the party and we had to get a cousin shot of them. They are so cute! Can't wait until they can play together :)

Water baseball!

This game uses small plastic pools as the bases to the baseball game. It's tons of fun, and you're bound to slip and get wet, maybe even break something :)

But everyone had fun, no one got too wet and no broken bones, a SUCCESS!

I sat out this time so I could keep an eye on Jillian and snap some pictures of Paul and Erik having fun. I also didn't come prepared to get that wet.

Next up,

CAMPING!

Our first family camping trip of the summer and we only got a few pictures, that camera battery died on us. But we had a great time. The kids slept well and despite the bugs and bothersome wind, I loved it all!

This was the best! Our family had a lot of fun playing soccer together, even Jillian joined in. The game went like this: one of us would spread our legs out to be the 'goal' and the others would kick the soccer through the goal. When Daddy was the goal, he held Jillian in front of the goal and she played goalie. I really wish I had a picture of her smile as she "played" with us, it was adorable! And Erik thought it was the funniest thing. We all had a good laugh.

We went to a Hawks Baseball game!

Paul's co-worker got us some free tickets and we brought my parents too. (Sorry mom we caught you with your eyes closed)

Our team lost, but we still had fun. Erik and Paul ran the bases after the game and loved that!

Jillian's hair is long enough for a pony tail.

I call it a "Pebbles Pony" and in this picture she totally looks like Pebbles to me! She just needs a bone hair clip and the ensemble would be complete :)

Well we've been packing our summer weekends with lots of fun lately. I'll try to post more soon. Hope the summer is just as fun for everyone else!

Video

This is a video of Jillian at 2 months, so I really should have posted it on May 25th, but that didn't happen. Enjoy our cute little girl. :)
