Good News

Well we've been busy getting things together to buy a house and it looks like we'll be closing on our loan this week!! So by next Sunday we'll be living in
THIS HOUSE!
We took these pictures when the offer was accepted on our house, we can't wait to move in! When we do, we'll post more pictures of the interior.
This is a 6 month old picture of Jillian. I got her this shirt for the cold autumn weather, looks so cute on her, especially with that ring of drool down her front. :)
And here's a picture of Erik at 3yrs 10months, in his favorite Spider Man shirt.
In other news Erik can now do head/hand stands, at least on our couch. What's funny is when I took this picture, my camera oriented it with Erik's head up-since it looks for faces in the image, but technology was wrong, that face was supposed to be up-so-down(that's how Erik used to say "up side down")
Getting ready for Halloween! We made paper pumpkins the other night. Erik made this blue one all by himself-cut the pieces and taped it himself! I was way impressed. I did help him with the "stem" and the moon.
Our little family of pumpkins. We plan to carve pumpkins with some friends tomorrow night, we'll post pictures of those later.
This was Jillian's first time in the bath with Erik and she LOVED it! Even when he splashed her, she just laughed. She is quite the fish, well both our kids are. We went swimming with my mom on Friday night and Erik was on his own with a kick board, just kicking away and enjoying the freedom of going his own way and not holding on to us. Then Jillian was dog paddling! I was shocked! My mom held her tummy to the water and Jillian started splashing and kicking-she was happy in the pool for an hour. I'm so glad our kids like to swim as much as I do :)

Move'n

Well we've been on the move lately, having fun as a family and looking at houses to actually move into-that's been fun. We're still waiting to hear official word but it looks as though we'll get a house we want in our ward. It's a 3 bed 2 bath with 2 nice size living areas, good size kitchen with much more counter space than I've been used to-can't wait-and a great deck in the backyard. We like it and hope we get it!
Jillian is 6 months old now and moving more.
Riding horses.
 Sitting up.
She's actually getting really good at this just in the past week or so, she's almost ready to go solo.
Don't move! Keep your hands in the air.
Erik's caught red handed with finger paint and you know I watched his hands every move as he made his way to the sink to clean up. Jillian enjoyed watching him-I think that's her favorite thing to do, watch Erik.

We went to "Museum Comes to Life" 2 Saturdays ago. Lots of fun thing to see, but a hot day to see them.
Erik was trying to fill the canoe w/o flipping it over. Well he actually really enjoyed seeing all the blocks fall out, so maybe his goal really wasn't to keep it from flipping :)
In this pictures it looks like he's going to overturn the boat with his foot. Hope Daddy can swim with Jillian on his front. :)
They had saddles to try out. I thought that would be fun, but Erik was NOT happy in this picture.
 Oh there's his smile!
I rode side saddle-trying to be lady like.
Erik and Jillian rolling around on the floor. Jillian can roll to her tummy so well, getting back to her back is another story. But on her tummy she can rotate or spin almost 360 degrees. I sense crawling may be coming soon.
 I absolutely LOVE this picture.
Jillian can roll even on the chair of her swing. That looks so uncomfortable to me but surprisingly she didn't fuss about it.
Erik got a light saber this week and he loves it! I'm surprised he let Jillian hold it. He told me he wants to be Darth Vader for Halloween. I asked him who that was, he said Darth Vader was a bad guy and dark. Well I have other plans for him for Halloween, sorry bud.
 GENERAL CONFERENCE!
We gotta set up the conference tent, it's tradition! Paul asked Jillian if she remembered the tent from April conference, I don't think she does :)
We also played Bingo while listening to conference with Erik. We made him get 5 in a row unlike last conference when he only needed 3 in a row giving him WAY too many jellybeans and resulting in a 3yr old with WAY too much energy for a reverent general conference.
Lesson learned-this time we had much more reverence, and fewer jellybeans.
Jillian got a hold of this flag (it's Denmark's Flag) and was waiving it proudly-her ancestors would be proud.
