the Night Glow

Once upon a time, in the 90's, my family and I would go to the local River Festival each year, oftentimes even volunteering to help with the events which included: parades, sand sculptures, concerts, hot air balloons and Fireworks(to name a few). The best part of this festival was that all the events were FREE! I miss those days.
Although the Festival is NOT back in town, the Hot Air Balloons did return this year! So on Sat night I was able to take Pawly and Erik to one of my ol' festival fav's "the Night Glow."

Here are the balloons filling up.
Go BSU! The one in the middle looks like the smurf turf field itself.
Erik and Pawly anxiously awaiting the glowing balloons.
Erik had a hard time keeping his eyes off the balloons, he loved them!

3, 2, 1, BURN!

They burned the flames quite a few times so we could enjoy the splender, it just kept getting better the darker it got.

After we'd count down with the crowd and the announcer Erik would say,
"WOW, look at all that fire!"

We met up with Grandma and Pappa too. It was such a fun night!
I love hot air balloons. Someday I'm going to ride in one...

I love hot air balloons too.
We used to love to go to the balloon races in reno. They had what they called the dawn patrol 5am which we enjoyed but evening sounds a little easier.

I got to ride in one at my school. It was really cool. I had always wanted to ride in one and finally I did. And it was free! That makes it even sweeter!
So glad you guys got to go. Erik looks like he is entranced.
